Aaron Rodgers sure knows the art of casually dropping his relationship news out of nowhere.

A few years ago, during his virtual acceptance speech for his third MVP at the NFL Honors, he announced that he was engaged, surprising a national audience. About a year later he and fiancee Shailene Woodley was overthough their one-time whirlwind romance continues to make headlines.

On Monday during his appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” the former Green Bay Packers quarterback revealed he has a girlfriend while discussing the Christmas season.

It certainly caught McAfee off guard because of his reaction. Outside of her name — that’s Brittani with an “i” — and how he feels, Rodgers didn’t reveal too much about her.

Rodgers was talking about his Christmas shopping habits as he slipped in the fact that he has a new girlfriend.

The 41-year-old quarterback said he has switched to only shopping online after previously doing most of it in person, including at Bay Park Square Mall in Ashwaubenon.

“I actually order all of mine online,” Rodgers said.

But sometimes there may be delays with it. And there was one gift in particular that he had only received on Monday: for his girlfriend.

“I was a little worried because there was a package left for my girlfriend Brittani that hadn’t turned up yet,” Rodgers said. “I was waiting for it to show up. And it showed up today. We’re ready. All my stuff for the (offensive) line is done, all my stuff for the QB room is done.”

Wait, hold on. Boyfriend? Brittany?

Yes, apparently Rodgers is dating again.

Rodgers did not give many details about his new girlfriend.

He noted that she doesn’t watch “The Pat McAfee Show,” a program Rodgers appears on every week during the football season, where he has a platform to talk about everything from football to drones, aliens, politics and still, COVID-19.

Rodgers said Brittani doesn’t have social media, but he noted she’s a fan of McAfee.

McAfee and the other co-hosts loved the fact that Rodgers was in a new relationship.

“We just learned that Aaron is in love,” McAfee said playfully.

“It’s a good feeling boys,” Rodgers said.

Rodgers has had many high-profile relationships over the years.

He was in a relationship with an actress Olivia Munn from 2014-17 before dating pro racing driver Danica Patrick from 2018-20. Rodgers then became engaged to Woodley, another actress with whom he became close during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.

They broke up about a year later. Woodley said in a recent interview that the relationship was “toxic” and that thinking back on their time makes her “cry.”

“It wasn’t real,” she said, “but it was beautiful.”

Rodgers was also linked with Mallory Edensdaughter of Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Wes Edens, though the two never commented on a relationship.

For much of his career, Rodgers preferred to keep his personal life out of the headlines. But he’s been an open book in recent years, further exemplified by a new three-part Netflix documentary titled “Enigma” that chronicled his comeback with the New York Jets after tearing his Achilles in his first game of 2023 season with his new team.

The documentary also describes his ayahuasca journey in South America.
