IIHF – Power Rankings

Welcome to the IIHF World Junior Championship 2025. As this tournament returns to Ottawa for the first time in 16 years, the excitement couldn’t be higher in the Canadian capital. The Americans, hungry to successfully defend their World Junior crown for the first time ever, top our inaugural Power Rankings. The host nation, equally keen to avenge last year’s disappointing fifth place finish in Gothenburg, are close behind in second place. And the Swedes, seeking just their third World Junior title ever, debut in third place. With the unpredictable, drama-filled nature of U20 international hockey, we’re sure to see some changes as the World Juniors develop. Let the games begin!
