Suspect in custody after short pursuit in Southeast Rochester

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Law enforcement responded to a scene along South Broadway in Rochester early Wednesday evening.

Rochester Police report that at approximately 4 p.m., an officer interviewed a suspect from a property incident earlier in the day near a vacant building in the 1200 block of Broadway Ave. South.

The suspect reportedly sped off and ran into the former Denny’s building.

Officers set up a perimeter and used a drone to locate the suspect on the roof.

The police were later able to get the suspect to come down from the roof, where they arrested him peacefully.
