Passengers horrified as ‘sewer tsunami’ overtakes American Airlines flight

Passengers aboard an American Airlines flight from Dallas to Minneapolis on December 7 was flooded by a water leak from the rear toilet. Video from inside the Boeing 737-800 cabin shows water pouring down the aisle.

According to a passenger on board, the problem began after someone used lichen. No one could stop the flow of water. The situation was “chaotic” with passengers lifting their feet and picking up belongings from the floor to avoid contact with the “disgusting” shallow water. I am reminded that some of you go barefoot on planes, even go to the bathroom.

Last year, a Delta Air Lines flight from Atlanta to Barcelona had to be turned around after a passenger let loose diarrhea all the way through the plane.

The passengers returned to Atlanta and waited while Delta cleaned the plane and found a new crew. They were sent on the same flight a few hours later. The video showed the inside of the plane.

Then an American Airlines flight from Delhi became a biohazard when a toilet sink overflowed with human waste. The airline continued to fly like this for “10+ hours” of the 17-hour flight after “4 toilets flooded with sewage.”

Meanwhile, an Alaska Airlines plane floated along four inches of toilet water and United offered 5,000 miles in compensation after a toilet flood destroyed a passenger’s laptop.
