Elon Musk’s estranged trans daughter tells why she wants to leave the US now

After Donald Trump’s election victory, Elon Musk’s estranged daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, announced her intention to leave the United States.

Wilson, who the Tesla boss once claimed was “killed by the awakened mind virus,” is transgender and has been estranged from his father since 2022, shared his thoughts on Threads.

On Wednesday night, Wilson wrote: “I’ve been thinking about it for a while, but yesterday confirmed it for me. I don’t see my future in the US.”

“Even if he’s only been in office for 4 years, even if the anti-trans rules don’t magically happen, the people who willingly voted this in aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.”

Wilson’s feelings for his father had not been very healthy. Wilson hates Musk and has recently publicly lambasted him for transphobia and harsh parenting. She said Musk’s criticism began when she was very young, and she described a particular experience that shocked her. She even called the billionaire a “serial cheater”.

“I was in fourth grade. We went on this road trip that, I didn’t know, was actually just a commercial for one of the cars—I can’t remember which one—and he was constantly yelling at me because my voice was too loud ,” Wilson said in an interview with NBC, “It was horrible.”

Musk has often referred to her using her birth name instead of acknowledging her transition, an act known as “deathnaming,” disrespectful in the transgender community. “She went beyond socialism to being a full-on communist and believing that every rich person is evil,” he said.

The SpaceX CEO said during an interview with Jordan Peterson, “I basically lost my son… My son Xavier is dead, killed by the waking mind virus… so I vowed to destroy the waking mind virus after that. ” He has also described his daughter as a “full-on communist” who believes that “any rich is evil.” Musk, currently the richest person in the world, has often used his public platform to criticize social movements and individuals he believes embody “woke” ideals.
