Ozzy Osbourne’s shocking Christmas tale: 28 liters of beer and a journey through sobriety

Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, known for his rebellious lifestyle and outspoken personality, recently shared a captivating story about a Christmas where he consumed 28 liters of beer.

The 76-year-old singer, known for his wild antics and battles with addiction, revealed that he drank staggering amounts to see him through the holiday season.

In an interview with The Sun, the “Changes” singer openly said: “I hate the hell out of Christmas. It just gets to me.” To cope with the festivities, he bought a keg containing 28 liters of beer and admitted: “I drank it before it was Christmas Eve”, which equates to around 224 pints consumed in just a few days.

Ozzy’s relationship with sobriety

Despite her struggles with alcohol and drug addiction, Osbourne has been open about her ongoing journey to sobriety. In October, during an appearance on the Madhouse Chronicles Podcast, he admitted, “I’m happier, but I’m not completely sober. I use a little bit of marijuana from time to time.”

He also shared how his wife, Sharon Osbourne, deals with his occasional drug use. “Even with marijuana, she’ll damn well find it and get rid of it,” he shared.

Ozzy further explained how a recent medical experience involving a small dose of ketamine triggered disturbing memories, saying, “That thing came back and weighed on my brain.”

The honest reflections of a rock star

The authenticity of Osbourne’s honesty about his struggles with addiction and distaste for Christmas makes it clear that his life is more than the music he plays. Although he may have exhibited scandalous behavior in the past, his honesty in addressing these issues paints a picture of his journey of growth and self-awareness.

From holiday horror to the war on addiction, Ozzy Osbourne continues to entertain his audiences with his straightforward personality and rock and roll spirit.
