Arcane Season 2: Is Vander (Warwick) Really Dead?

Arcane Season 2 was the most anticipated animated project of 2024, and that’s thanks to the build-up Riot did with an incredible finale of Season 1. One of the biggest builds was the arrival of the bloodthirsty monster Warwick from League of Legends in the story. Arcane Season 2 Act 2 gave us goosebumps with the sequence where Warwick opened his eyes after Singed lost his blood in the street.

Warwick then arrives and recognizes Powder and Vi, but then, at the end of Arcane Season 2 Act 2, we see Isha shoot at Warwick, causing an explosion with Jinx’s upgraded Hextech-powered gun. So, is Vander aka Warwick dead in Arcane? Here is the answer that may fascinate you.

Is Vanders Warwick mysteriously dead?

Vander aka Warwick’s fate in Arcane is uncertain at the time of writing this article, but it is safe to assume he is alive. Isha causes an explosion by firing Jinx’s gun that has three hextech crystals, so even though our little girl might be dead, Warwick will actually survive.

Singed, who created the monster, revealed it to Caitlyn and Ambessa Warwick’s regenerative abilities can bring a dead person back to lifeso how can he die with just an explosion? All that amazing build up for nothing? Well, I don’t think so.

After Vander’s death in Arcane Season 1, there were several speculations and fan theories about how the character would make a comeback in the TV show. When the first appearance of Warwick appeared online, fans began debating how this monstrous creature could be Vander.

In the ninth episode of Arcane Season 1, Singed (aka Dr Corin Reveck) took Vander’s body, giving us more reasons to speculate. Now that the central character has re-entered the picture, it wouldn’t make any sense if he is killed instantly – even by a character who has just been introduced.

Warwick will definitely be backbut not in his Vander avatar. He will be as deadly as he was in the final moments of Act 2 of the second season. Viktor almost finds Vander inside the beast, but Machine Herald’s death at the hands of Jayce causes Vander to lose control, sink to the depths inside, and be consumed by the monster.

For now, let’s just say that Vander is lost in that beast and all that’s left is the bloodthirsty Warwick. However, this does not mean that Vander cannot return to the TV series. Vander recognized Powder and Vi before without Viktor’s help.

So it may happen again in the final act, but the beast will claim more innocent lives before Vander takes back control of the corpse.
