6 injured after being hit by car at Ted Drewes

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Several people have been struck and injured by a car near Ted Drewes, according to the St. Louis.

The incident happened just after 20 at Ted Drewes, which is at 6726 Chippewa in South St. Louis City. According to the fire service, six people were injured. One person is in critical condition, three people are in serious condition, and two people have been taken to the hospital for safety reasons, according to the fire department.

Police said the victims were between 12 and 70 years old. Police said all victims are expected to be OK.

Police at the scene told First Alert 4 that a vehicle with no license plate turned left into the Ted Drewe parking lot and struck a group of people. That car then backed out onto Chippewa Street and left the scene.

St. Louis police spokesman Mitch McCoy said the driver, a 19-year-old, returned to the scene and is being interviewed by police.
