Ladd McConkey sets Rookie receiving records by most Chargers

Ladd McConkey continues to rewrite the franchise record books.

On an afternoon where the Bolts punched their ticket to the postseason, the rookie wide receiver etched himself in Chargers lore even further Saturday in New England.

McConkey set new Chargers rookie records in receptions and receiving yards as he now sits at 77 receptions for 1,054 yards.

He surpassed Keenan Allen’s previous record of 71 catches for 1,046 yards, which he set in 2013.

The rookie wide receiver finished Week 17 with eight catches for 94 yards and a pair of scores, helping the Bolts take control of the game early and never look back.

His first touchdown of the game came on the Chargers’ fourth drive of the game when quarterback Justin Herbert found him over the middle in the end zone on first and goal.
