SZA releases new SOS Deluxe album this week, enlists Ben Stiller for teaser

SZA has confirmed that the deluxe version of the SOSlong teased with the title Lanaarriving on Friday. In a new teaser for the album, Ben Stiller lip syncs to one of the new songs. Check it out on her Instagram.

SZA has followed the album, which may or may not be named Lana (one trailer last week suggested Lana and SOS Deluxe are one and the same) since shortly after the publication of SOS in December 2022. The following November, she elaborated Black to Lana would be SOS “outtakes and some new songs”, but that it had grown beyond the usual scope of a deluxe edition. “It would be really soft because I had made all my screaming points,” she said, “and I just wanted to slide and not think (too much) and get out of my own head — I was so happy to say something. shit, it didn’t matter.” The title refers to a tattoo SZA got years ago when she could only afford to get the second half of her name – Solána – inked.

Soon after Black interview, SZA postponed an Apple Music Live show at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and called it quits social media that it made “some small last-minute changes to ensure that the final product is something I can stand behind and also reflects what you deserve.” Since then, only one song, “Saturn”, has seen the light of day. In the coming months, SZA will embark on a joint tour with Kendrick Lamar.
