There’s more than one new Marvel show on Disney Plus this month

2024 has been quite the year to be a Marvel fan. Marvel Studios staged one hell of a comeback with a cinematic phenomenon in it Deadpool and Wolverine (which went on to become the second-highest-grossing film of the year), Golden Globe-nominated and critically acclaimed Disney Plus series Agatha All AlongEmmy nominated and praised X-Men ’97and the fan favorite, epic Echo. Meanwhile, Sony has delivered three entries in their own Marvel universe, with Madame Web, Venom: The Last Danceand Kraven the Hunter.

While these three films have been the subject of much discussion, Married 3 certainly created a lot of buzz of its own and ended the trilogy on an entertaining note, reinforcing the fact that it’s a big year to be a Marvel fan.

The good news is that there are more Marvel adventures still to arrive before the end of the year. You probably know that What if…? season 3 is coming, but it’s not the only Marvel series making its presence felt on the Disney Plus streamer this month.

What if…? season 3 and Spidey And His Amazing Friends arrive on Disney Plus this month

It is true. The third and final season of Marvel’s What if…? will premiere on Disney Plus this Christmas, with the first episode arriving on Sunday, December 22. A new episode will then premiere daily over the next seven days (just like it did last year), keeping us all entertained throughout the festive season. But if you don’t want to wait until the holidays for some animated Marvel adventures, you’ll be happy to know that What if…? season 3 isn’t the only Marvel show you can watch on the streamer.

New episodes of season 3 of Spidey and his amazing friends also arrived on Disney Plus this month, premiering all five episodes on December 4. Yes, that means you can dive right in and follow all the adventures of the beloved kid-friendly series. In fact, there’s even a Christmas episode for you to check out. That’s right, the latest episode of the series to be added to the streamer is a special double-adventure consisting of the episodes “A Snow Day For Aunt May” and “Hanukkah Heist.”

Spidey and his amazing friends may not be set in the MCU, but it is produced by Marvel Studios Animation (and has been since the second season) to be shown on Disney Jr. ahead of its worldwide release on Disney Plus. These new episodes originally aired on Disney Jr. throughout the fall and has now come with the rest of the season on the streamer.

So if you’re in the mood for some of Spider-Man’s most entertaining adventures, check out the new episodes of this one. And it will definitely be useful for Spider-Man fans because it will entertain them all while they are eagerly waiting for the upcoming new animated series Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man (which premieres on the Disney Plus platform on January 29, 2025). Also produced by Marvel Studios Animation, it is MCU-adjacent and will show us Peter Parker’s early years as a webslinger.
