Monday Night Football best bets anytime TDs for Vikings vs Bears

game

Tonight, the stars are ready to shine bright under the “Monday Night Football” lights.

The Minnesota Vikings (11-2) is set to host Chicago Bears (4-9), puts on a bow Week 15 in the NFL with the primetime game in Minnesota. Two games are scheduled to start on Monday night, with Raiders hosting Falcons at 8:30 PM ET, but this is a split of the NFC North clash.

Despite entering the final four weeks of the season with 11 wins, the hosts are still chasing the Detroit Lions in the division. Quarterback Sam Darnold has revived his career in his first season with Minnesota and has the offense clicking on all cylinders. Minnesota has won six in a row and will try to chase Detroit over the last month.

Meanwhile, Chicago has lost seven straight games and is looking to play spoiler in the division. Caleb Williams and the offense will try to bounce back from a lackluster showing in a 38-13 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The offense finished the first half with just four total yards before halftime in Week 14. Thomas Brown will coach his second game after being named interim head coach and will try to turn around what appears to be an uninspired group.

What are the best bets on Vikings and Bears? USA TODAY Sports has narrowed down the best all-time touchdown scorers and player props for you right here. Here are some prop bets to consider for the Week 15 “MNF” matchup with odds from BetMGM.

Monday Night Football: Vikings vs Bears best game

All odds are via BetMGM from Sunday.

Jordan Addison (MIN, WR) OVER 49.5 receiving yards (-120)

It can be easy to get caught up in stargazing on Monday night with Justin Jefferson on the field, but the offense should benefit from continuing to lean on two receivers. Jordan Addison is trying to shake the narrative of inconsistency, and he’s done well to accomplish that over the past month. With defensive coverage to double-team Jefferson, Addison has been left to win one-on-one situations.

He has a respectable 29% receiving percentage over that stretch and has had at least 54 yards in the last four games. Almost half of those goals have come on deep passes (45%). This is key because Chicago has allowed the third-most receptions and the fourth-most yards on deep passes. In the Week 12 meeting with Chicago, he finished with a career-high 162 yards on eight catches. Play Addison with confidence on Monday night.

TJ Hockenson (MIN, TE) +210 anytime TD

TJ Hockenson is finally healthy and his workload continues to increase. Since his return in Week 9, Minnesota has slowly incorporated him back into the offense, and I expect the Vikings to turn him loose a bit down the road as they fight for a playoff spot. The 27-year-old tight end has been working with Josh Oliver and Johnny Mundt since his return, but Hockenson’s influence will begin to shine through as his snap percentage has been over 60% in three stretches.

The former first-round tight end had his best game since returning in Week 12 against Chicago. He posted seven receptions for 112 yards. Kevin O’Connell will soon unleash his elite tight end in the red zone. Chicago ranks 31st in yards per route allowed to opposing tight ends. Expect the man who looks like a real Viking to show up and find dirt for the first time this season.

Rome Odunze (CHI, WR) anytime TD (+280)

When in Rome? Technically, this game is being played in Minneapolis, but let’s get to the point. Fire up Bears rookie wide receiver Rome Odunze with the final touchdown bet anytime tonight. As rookie quarterback Caleb Williams continues to improve, this game at US Bank Stadium should be entertaining. The Bears may find themselves coming from behind again as 7-point underdogs, and they’ll need some production out of their receivers if they want to keep up with Minnesota on the road.

This will be the fifth game for Caleb Williams and Chicago’s offense since Thomas Brown took over as the new offensive coordinator. He also now deployed as interim head coach, so Brown has complete control of this unit. Odunze has seen his scoring share blossom under Brown, coming off a two-touchdown performance against the 49ers in Week 14. Listed at 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds, Odunze is a threat in the red zone. He leads the Bears in goals in end zones, deep goals and average depth of goal (aDOT). Minnesota has allowed the most deep pass receptions in 2024.

Odunze has just three touchdowns this season, largely because he has the lowest field goal percentage in the NFL (63.3%). He has a higher separation gain rate on routes run than teammate DJ Moore, so Williams has missed him. Odunze has had at least six goals in six of the last seven games. This rookie connection will continue to flourish.
