Lainey Wilson Urges Country Music To Support More Female Artists, ‘It’s Good To See The Girls Come Through’

During a recent interview with People in front of her only one night Wild flowers and wild horses show at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Saturday (December 14), Lainey Wilson reflected on her big years while also singing the praises of other women in country music. “Country is having its moment and I’m proud to be part of the movement,” says the 32-year-old music superstar. Wilson advocates for more women to be heard in modern country music, and he has an upstart Mae Estes opening for her in Vegas as support. “There’s a shift happening, I would say. I’m hearing more female artists being talked about. I still feel like we’re not quite there,” Wilson says. so hard to break through – can they stand the test of time. The ones breaking through right now, they’re going to be around for a long time. It’s good to see the girls come through.” (People)
