Los Angeles Lakers two-way guard Quincy Olivari is finalizing an endorsement deal with Curry Brand. ESPN’s Shams Charania first reported the deal.

Curry Brand was launched by Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry and Under Armor in 2020.

God thank you so much for these blessings you have bestowed upon me. A shoe deal, wow

Olivari is set to join Sacramento Kings star De’Aaron Fox as the second active NBA player to sign with the brand, according to Charania.

The former Xavier and Rice guard joined the Lakers for the 2024-25 preseason and was converted for a two-way agreement in October. He has averaged 21.4 points in five G League starts for the South Bay Lakers.

Curry and Olivari played against each other in a preseason contest between the Lakers and Warriors on October 18.

Olivari led the Lakers to victory with a team-high 22 points. He went 8-of-16 from the field and 5-of-9 from behind the arc in the win.

The two met after the game, and Olivari shared a video of himself as a child receiving an autographed jersey from Curry, according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. The Warriors star responded by gifting Olivari with a pair of signed sneakers.

Olivari was emotional when discussing the meeting with Curry with reporters after the game.

“It’s crazy because I’ve liked him since I was in sixth grade,” Olivari said. “I don’t even know what to say because that’s my favorite player ever.”

Oliver continued: “The first thing he told me was, ‘I’m a big fan of your game’. And to be honest, I’m a big fan of him.”

Olivaris’ signing marks the next step forward for the Curry Brand, which signed its first international athlete in June and opened its first brand-specific store in September.

Curry participated store opening in Chengdu, China ahead of release of his 12th signature sneaker.

Fox, meanwhile, debuted his first signature Curry Brand sneaker, the Curry Fox 1, ahead of the 2024-25 season. The sneaker was the first signature shoe with the names of two active players, per Aaron Dodson by Andscape.
