Prediction, picks, odds for week 14

It’s easy for college football fans to assume that the top 10 teams in the country are the only ones that matter after Thanksgiving, especially with the expanded 12-team College Football Playoff bracket, but the Blue Devils could make some waves with week 14-win.

Despite being mathematically eliminated from the ACC race, Duke clinched its second nine-win season in three years with a rivalry win over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. In the first year under head coach Manny Diaz, the Blue Devils could reach double-digit wins for the second time in school history if they beat their in-state foes and win whichever bowl game they end up in.

More important than any final record, however, Diaz and his locker room could win state on Saturday. The Blue Devils have already hit North Carolina Tar Heels (a 21-20 comeback win in Week 5) and the NC State Wolfpack (a 29-19 road win in Week 11). A third win in Winston-Salem would let them sweep the ACC teams from North Carolina for the first time in more than a decade.
