Kerry Katona has split from fiancé Ryan Mahoney and admits she is ‘struggling’ to come to terms with the end of their six-year romance. The star revealed to OK! that despite efforts to patch things up, Ryan has now left their shared Cheshire home following a ‘breach of trust’.

Although their relationship is currently on shaky ground, 44-year-old Kerry – who last week said they worked through ups and downs – has not given up hope of a reunion and admits she is still head over heels for the fitness guru. In her OK! Kerry revealed: “Last week I spoke about how Ryan and I were having a hard time and now he’s moved out of the house.

“We’re no longer together and it’s been a really tough week – I never in a million years thought this would happen. Without going into too much detail, there’s been a breach of trust between us.

“I don’t know if we’ll be able to figure it out or not, but I still love him so much. I feel like everything has fallen apart recently and it’s so much to deal with, I’m struggling Really. But I know I can get through it no matter what happens, I’ve been through breakups before and come out the other side, so we’ll just see what happens.”

Kerry has opened up following her Instagram post that left fans horrified when she claimed to be ‘single’, which she quickly clarified as a prank to amuse her mum. In her column last week, she addressed the confusion, saying: “I’m sure you’ve all read the ‘news’ that I broke up with Ryan after I flippantly said I was single on my Instagram to make my mom laugh. It was a throwaway comment that I made between my mom, my best friend Danielle, and me, but it all got out of hand.”

She added context to the post by explaining, “If you watch the video on my Instagram you can hear us talking to the doctor and Danielle left a funny comment below asking if he was single. To try and cheer my mom up, i said i was – but with a grinning face i was making a joke but like any couple, ryan and i have hard times and sometimes we just hang in there that’s often what happens in a relationship we have much more than usual to deal with at the moment, like the kids at home, outside drama and looking after my bad mother.”
