Holland predicted XI when Van Dijk returns to Liverpool

The Netherlands travel to Bosnia and Herzegovina for their final group game in the Uefa Nations League on Tuesday.

The Oranje have already booked their place in the quarter-finals of the competition thanks to a 4-0 win over Hungary at the weekend.

However, relegation beckons for the Bosnians as they were destroyed by Germany, who put seven goals past them on Saturday.

The Netherlands are second in Group A3 on eight points and cannot be caught by third-placed Hungary, while Bosnia are bottom with a point from five matches.

Netherlands team news

With nothing to play for in this game, manager Ronald Koeman has allowed Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk and Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong to return to their respective clubs.

“For both Frenkie (De Jong) and Virgil, it is better for them to leave the training camp at this moment,” explained Koeman. “This decision was made on medical grounds and of course the interests of the players come first.”

Liverpool say Van Dijk will be assessed when he returns to the club’s training ground ahead of this weekend’s Premier League meeting with Southampton.

Koeman is expected to change his starting XI from the one that hammered Hungary at the Johan Cruijff ArenA.

Holland predicted lineup

Netherlands XI (4-2-3-1): Mark Flecken; Devyne Rensch, Matthijs de Ligt, Stefan de Vrij, Jorrel Hato; Mats Wieffer, Quinten Timber; Jeremie Frimpong, Teun Koopmeiners, Noa Lang; Brian Bobby.

When does the game start?

Bosnia and Herzegovina will meet the Netherlands at the Bilino Polje Stadium on Tuesday 19 November with kickoff at 19:45 UK time.
