Pluckers closes both Baton Rouge restaurants | Business

Popular Texas-based wing restaurant Pluckers has closed both of its Baton Rouge locations.

Plucker’s officials said they decided to close the locations at the Mall of Louisiana and at 4225 Nicholson Drive after discussions with the local franchise operator.

“After many conversations with our franchisee about the finances and the increased costs to upgrade, we decided together that the best decision was to close these locations,” Pluckers said in an email.

The Baton Rouge restaurants were the only franchise locations for Pluckers, which has 30 eateries across Texas.

Pluckers had been in business for 21 years, opening the Nicholson restaurant in 2003 and a Mall of Louisiana location in 2011 in a building that had been occupied by Bennigan’s.
