New England Patriots recreate Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl announcement for concert promotion

Gillette Stadium called on the home team to promote Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s upcoming stop on their turf. In a clip shared on social media, New England Patriots wide receiver Kendrick Bourne stepped into the Compton rapper’s shoes to recreate Lamar’s halftime show announcement clip of Lamar.

“Are you ready?” asks the 29-year-old. “Kendrick Lamar will be performing at Gillette Stadium. Want to show up?”

He continued to channel the “tv off” rhyme by exclaiming “There’s only one chance to see him here. There are no round twos. Catch him here at Gillette Stadium on May 12th.”

On Tuesday (Dec. 3), K. Dot confirmed that he would be hitting the road on The Grand National Tour after rumors began circulating following his Super Bowl announcement. When SZA joins him, the stadium walk follows his surprise GNX album was issued late last month.

The full tour will take the two superstars to Houston, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Detroit and more before wrapping up in Washington DC, from April 19th to June 18th.
