Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown extends touchdown streak to 8 games

This question has come up a few times this year, and it’s a good one to have: When is the right time to shut out the starters in a blowout win? Detroit has won three games this season by at least 35 points.

“There’s nothing easy about it,” Campbell said. “This is weird – this is another one of those bizarre things you run into. Usually it doesn’t happen. This is like the third time this has happened this season, which is a good problem to have.

“There’s a number of things, and I think you want to know that you end on a good note, you’ve found a rhythm, you keep the rhythm, ‘OK, now it’s time, let’s get them out.'”

Campbell also said he’s not going to play with fear of injury in those situations.

“I don’t want to let the fear of harm take away from our identity,” he said. “That’s always going to be most important to me. More so, the minute you start worrying about injuries, that’s when bad things happen, so it’s kind of — I’ll stop there.”
