Karra and Yakoff fall in the opening round of the NCAA individual championships

WACO, Texas – Stephanie Yakoff and Kavya Karra battled in the doubles main draw at the NCAA Individual Championships this afternoon, but eventually fell in the opening round.

The Crimson duo took on Celia-Belle Mohr and Sophia Webster (Vanderbilt) in the Round of 16 in Waco, Texas earlier today. Yakoff and Karra narrowly fell in both sets today to deliver a 6-4, 6-3 final decision.

Despite falling in the first round, the NCAA debut for the sophomore pairing was historic, marking just the eighth Harvard duo to ever compete in the individual championships and the first to do so since 2006.
