2 forced fumbles, 1 sack, 1 fumble recovery…and a Texans touchdown

Derek Barnett recorded a game’s worth of a stellar defensive stat line in just one game Monday night.

The Texans defensive end scored a fourth quarter touchdown in the road game against the Cowboys, but saw a lot more than that on the play.

With Dallas facing a 2nd and 6 at their own 40-yard line early in the fourth quarter, Barnett got around left tackle and stripped the ball from quarterback Cooper Rush. Cowboys offensive lineman Tyler Guyton picked it up and started to run, but safety Jalen PItre burst the rookie tackle and got the ball away. Barnett was there to recover and he rumbled 28 yards into the end zone for the score.
