Firefighters respond to 3-alarm fire in the French Quarter

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – New Orleans firefighters are responding to a 3-alarm fire in the French Quarter early Tuesday (November 19) morning.

Smoke was reported around 03:00 near the cross streets of Bourbon and Orleans.

Staff at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel say they saw smoke coming from the roof of the Local 718 bar and restaurant across the street around 10 p.m. 02.30

Hotel staff also told Fox 8 the business was open for service an hour earlier.

Three fire units arrived at the scene. Firefighters worked in waves, giving them time to take breaks and cool down on the pavement.
