Ella Toone ends incredible record run with Man Utd absence

It has been confirmed that Ella Toone will not be involved in Manchester United’s game this afternoon.

The 25-year-old misses the game away to Leicester through injury, setting an incredible precedent.

The lineup marks the end of a record-breaking run as it is the first time Toone has ever missed a game since Manchester United were promoted to the WSL at the start of the 2019/20 season.

She had appeared in their 96 consecutive previous league matches, the most of any outfielder for the same club in league history.

She will certainly be missed this afternoon!
