After weighing in as a backup, Aspinall hoped to fight Jon Jones if Stipe Miocic withdrew.

Although he didn’t, the British fighter made himself known by performing in the crowd. While his presence alone was newsworthy, it was more exciting that he was forced to sit with Jon Jones’ brothers. But why was such a seating decision made? Well, it might be because Aspinall recently told Michael Bisping during an interview that he might break into the cage to confront Jon Jones to force a fight between them. ‘The Count’ wondered if he would actually do so, to which Aspinall replied, “I would like to yes, absolutely.”

If this wasn’t enough, the Englishman also suggested he would go all Hulk Hogan and rip off his shirt once inside the Octagon. “Whip off the shirt, go full Hulk Hogan, and just start ripping it.”
