Alibaba, JD Tout Singles Day Highs Even as China’s Economy Slows

China’s biggest e-commerce platforms posted a flurry of numbers showing robust growth during the country’s biggest online shopping event of the year, deflecting concerns about consumer malaise weighing on the world’s No. 2 economy.

Alibaba Group Holding Ltd., JD.com Inc. and gadget maker Xiaomi Corp. announced on Tuesday countless numbers that they say make this year’s Singles’ Day on November 11 one of the most productive yet.
