PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Verizon customers are complaining of a widespread internet outage throughout the Philadelphia area and much of the Mid-Atlantic region, down to Washington DC

More than 10,000 people reported a problem in the Philadelphia area alone, according to Down detector.

Reports didn’t start coming in until after midnight Tuesday involving the FiOS Internet service.

Complaints began to subside at 03:45

Action News has reached out to Verizon but has not received a response.

The the company’s website offers a brief notice admits that there was a problem in the Philadelphia area and that they are working on a solution.
