Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will meet in the boxing ring next week in one of the most controversial fights in recent times.

Tyson is considered one of the greatest heavyweight champions in the history of the sport, but the American is now 58 and has not fought professionally for 19 years. And yes, his battle with YouTube star Paul will be an officially sanctioned, pro match.

That means it will count against both men’s records, with Tyson standing at 50-6 (44 knockouts) while Paul is 10-1 (7 KOs).

American Paul, 27, has beaten several former UFC fighters and lesser-known pro boxers, with his only loss coming last year against Tommy Fury – the half-brother of former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

Now the divisive YouTuber will share a ring with Tyson, five months after the latter suffered a health scare on a plane – an incident that delayed the fight from July to November. Here’s everything you need to know.

When is the match?

The game will take place on Friday, November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The stadium, with a capacity of 80,000, is home to the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys.

The event begins at 1 a.m. GMT Saturday, November 16 (5 p.m. PT, 7 p.m. CT, 8 p.m. ET Friday). No time has yet been announced for the Paul vs Tyson ring walks, but they are expected around 04:00 GMT on Saturday (8:00 PM PT, 10:00 PM CT, 11:00 PM ET on Friday).

While the fight purses have not been officially disclosed, Paul claimed at a press conference in August, “I’m here to make $40 million and knock out a legend.” $40 million corresponds to around 31.1 million GBP, while Tyson will earn approximately 20 million. $ (£15.4m), according to friend and former UFC champion Henry Cejudo.
