Playboi Carti fans make website and threaten to follow en masse over four years of album delays

Playboi Carti fans have expressed their frustration after waiting over four years for the rapper’s new album. To air their grievances, they’ve created a website documenting all the unfulfilled album updates Carti has delivered since 2020.

Wednesday (December 25) marked the four-year anniversary of Carti’s last album, Whole Lotta Red. Fans who have been eagerly awaiting new music since the album was first teased three months after WLR’s release continue to experience delays. The upcoming album, titled *Music*, remains unreleased, adding to fans’ ire. The newly launched website tracks all instances in the last four years where Carti failed to deliver the promised song and album updates.

The website contains a detailed list of unfulfilled announcements, including the *Whole Lotta Red* deluxe album that never materialized, the unreleased single “Narcissist” and claims by Cartis DJ over a year ago that the album was complete. It also highlights several instances where Carti hinted at an upcoming LP but failed to follow through.

Fans, in an attempt to pressure the rapper, have also organized a collective social media action. If Carti doesn’t release the album by the end of the year, they plan to unfollow him en masse on social media platforms.
