Comcast expands Internet service to Radford

RADFORD, Va – Some good news for Radford residents looking for a new ISP.

Comcast is expanding its broadband Internet services to nearly 10,000 homes, and construction will begin immediately.

“We are always looking to bring our products and services and expand our network into new areas,” said Kristie Fox, Vice President of Communication for the Comcast Beltway Region. “We’ve expanded across the state of Virginia.”

The first homes are expected to be connected in the first quarter of next year, with a completion target of late 2026.

Currently the only other ISP in Radford is Shentel. Comcast will also offer cable, cellular and security services.
