Lainey Wilson shares how she tries to be ‘the best version’ of herself

Lainey Wilson emphasized precisely the importance of the small things and their simplicity.

In a conversation with PEOPLE magazine, the country music icon, who released his latest country music album, Whirlwind, on August 23, stated: “Makes me feel like Lainey: the sister, the friend, the daughter, the aunt and the dog mom and all those things.”

The Heart like a truck the hitmaker continued: “As long as I can do that, I can be the best version of the artist I’m trying to be.”

According to Wilson, her latest album perfectly describes the 2023 CMA’s Entertainer of the Year’s skyrocketing career, especially over the past year.

“The country is having its moment and I’m proud to be part of the movement,” she told the paper.

Lainey Wilson has had a busy year with her Country’s Cool Again Tourconsisting of 35 different shows, she co-hosted the 2024 CMA Awards alongside Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning, then continued toward her Thanksgiving NFL break, in Dallas, just a few days later.

“I get nervous before anything, whether I’m singing to 20 people, 200 (or) 40 million households tuned in to the Dallas Cowboys game. If I stop getting nervous, I have something to worry about,” she said further.
