Daniel Marcos vs. Adrian Yanez UFC on ESPN 63 preview

Marcos (16-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) puts his undefeated record on the line against arguably his toughest test to date. This fight will be Marcos’ third trip to the cage in 2024. His first resulted in a no-contest against Aori Qileng in February and the second was a unanimous decision victory over John Castañeda. … Yanez (17-5 MMA, 6-2 UFC) will look to keep his momentum going after returning to the win column in May by stopping Vinicius Salvador in the opening round. The result was a rebound from a rough 2023 in which Yanez lost back-to-back fights to end a nine-fight winning streak.

Daniel Marcos vs. Adrian Yanez UFC on ESPN 63 expert picks, prediction

Filling out the main card is a potential bantamweight showdown between Marcos and Yanez.

It’s nice to see a solid fight at 135 pounds not buried in the prelims. It’s also nice because this slot, combined with Yanez’s name, will give Marcos a chance to show his skills to more UFC fans.

That said, if Marcos isn’t able to establish his kicking presence early and often (especially to the legs), then I suspect Yanez will make the exchanges both competitive and exciting.

This fight could go either way, but I’ll side with Yanez’s more flashy offense to win over the judges in a tight decision that goes the American’s way.
