Adam Sandler makes a surprise appearance on ‘SNL’ hosted by Chris Rock

Adam Sandler made a surprise appearance on tonight’s episode of Saturday Night Live hosted by his longtime friend and fellow comedian Chris Rock.

In the sketch, Chris Rock plays a surgeon surrounded by medical staff while surgery to remove an appendix is underway. Sarah Sherman plays a nurse named Linzley whose first mistake was filling out the wrong form, which led to the patient’s gallbladder being removed and one of her AirPods being lost inside the patient. What makes Linzley special, albeit ruthless, is that she takes full responsibility for her mistakes.

“Oh my God!” she exclaims, realizing she dropped her AirPod during surgery. “Okay, I just want to own it. It was me.”

Her colleagues are furious, but Rock tells them to simmer down because Linzley sounds like a Victorian ghost when she cries.

The patient, who should still be under anesthesia, begins to move. They remove their blanket and come up for air, revealing Sandler. Doctor Rock is shocked to see the patient awake and talking, but Sandler is less so.

“Of course I’m awake because I didn’t get enough anesthesia,” Sandler mutters.

Linzley immediately says that this incident wasn’t actually her fault, but Sandler isn’t buying what she’s selling.

“We know it was you, Linzley!” he said as the nervous nurse said she wanted to own it too.

Surprisingly, Sandler defends Linzley only seconds before he starts shooting blood and getting it all over everyone through a burst artery.
