This is the best way to see the northern lights

That’s what the prediction center says the best time to see the northern lights is between 22:00 and 02:00 local time.

The center says moving away from light pollution allows for better viewing of the lights. Viewers of the northern lights will be helped by the so-called “Black Moon” on Monday − a second new moon in a month − which will keep the night sky dark overnight.
