Tornado warning for parts of Montgomery Co. Until 1:15 a.m.: The Alabama Weather Blog

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Tornado warning for…
West central Montgomery County in south central Alabama…

* Until 115 CST.

* At 1241 AM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
the tornado was located near Hope Hull, or 10 miles southwest of
Montgomery, moving east at 40 mph.

DANGER…Tornado.

SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT … Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without it
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
There will be damage to roofs, windows and vehicles. Wood
damage is likely.

* Affected locations include…
Southeastern Montgomery, Pike Road, Snowdoun, Hyundai Motors Of
Alabama, Pinedale, Hope Hull and Barachias.

CAUTION/PREPARED ACTIONS…

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or interior room at the lowest
floor in a robust building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the nearest larger shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.
