On 27 Dec. Amy Adams‘ latest award contender became available to stream for free for Hulu subscribers. Based on 2021 Nightbitch novel by Rachel Yoderthe big budget movie version from the writer/director Marielle Heller Adams stars as a stay-at-home mom who inexplicably begins to transform into a dog. Other cast members include Scott McNairy as her husband, Arleigh Patrick Snowden & Emmett James Snowden as their son, and Zoë Chao as a family friend.

Searchlight Pictures’ horror-comedy has garnered several award nominations this season, including for Adams at the Golden Globes and Independent Spirit Awards. Oscar next? As Heller recently told Gold Derby, “(Adams) is so wonderful and she’s so vulnerable, and I feel like she really trusted me.” Watch the video interview below:

Tim Allen spills secrets about Toy Story 5

The fifth edition of the blockbuster Toy Story franchise is getting closer and closer to imploding. Tim Allenwho has voiced Buzz Lightyear since 1995, reveals to Collider that he has completed his “first five-hour (recording) session” for Toy Story 5which will be released on June 19, 2026. “It’s really, really weird to be back in it,” he says of returning to the iconic character. “I don’t really believe it’s about the money. I’m sure they want it to be successful, but that’s not why they did it. If they hadn’t come up with a brilliant script, they wouldn’t have done it and they wouldn’t have called me and (Tom Hankswho plays Woody). It’s really smart.”

Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story franchise is one of the most successful of all time, with five feature films in the can (including the spin-off Light yearswhich notably did not feature Allen), plus multiple TV projects, theme parks, and endless merchandising opportunities. Toy Story 5 is written and directed by Andrew Stantonand produced by Jessica Choi. Toy Story 3 received a rare Best Picture nomination at the Academy Awards, while the third and fourth installments both won Best Animated Feature.

Send up the bat signal! The sequel to Matt Reeves‘ 2022 box office smash Batmancontributor Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, will move from October 2, 2026 to October 1, 2027. It was announced by Warner Bros. Friday. Reeves told Black on December 18 that he was finishing the script for the sequel and that the plan was to start shooting it “next year”. The first film in Reeves’ reboot series grossed $369 million domestically and $772 million worldwide and spawned the hit HBO spin-off The penguin.

With Batman 2 Warner Bros. have pushed back the release and have planned the latest Alejandro G. Iñárritu movie on the moved date. The untitled film reportedly stars the lead Tom Cruise as “the most powerful man in the world” who “embarks on a frantic mission to prove himself the savior of mankind before the disaster he has unleashed destroys everything.” The cast also includes Sandra Hüller, John Goodman, Michael Stuhlbarg, Jesse Plemons, Sophie Wildeand Riz Ahmed.

Did you miss out Beyonce‘s NFL Halftime Show Christmas Day? Or maybe you just want to watch it again? Well, get ready for some un-Bey-believable news, because the special is now available to stream on Netflix. As the streamer proclaimed today social media: “We’re screaming YA YA YA YA YA because BEYONCÉ BOWL, a standalone special, is now on Netflix.”

The “Beyoncé Bowl” performance took place at halftime of the Dec. 25 game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium and lasted more than 12 minutes. Beyoncé performed tracks from her country-inspired album Cowboy Carter with guests included Shaboozey, Post Malone, Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencerand Blue Ivy. Viewers who saw the mini-concert live were impressed by its quality, especially after Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul boxing match earlier this month caused so many issues with streaming.
