A Mega Millions ticket gave one lucky lottery winner an estimated jackpot of $1.22 billion this holiday season.

The ticket sold in Cottonwood, Calif., matched all six numbers from the Dec. 27 drawing, according to a news release from the Mega Millions consortium of lotteries on Saturday.

A $1 million prize ticket was also sold in Arizona. The prize is based on the ticket matching the numbers on the five white balls, which were 3, 7, 37, 49 and 55. The number on the sixth, yellow ball, was 6.

This was the fourth Mega Millions jackpot win of the year and the fifth largest Mega Millions jackpot in history.

The next drawing was scheduled for December 31, and the jackpot has been reset to an estimated top prize of $20 million. There has never been a Mega Millions jackpot winner on New Year’s Eve, according to the lottery.

Drawings are carried out at 11:00 PM Eastern Time/8:00 PM Arizona Time.
