Komal Khan to lead Pakistan in ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025 – Cricket

Lahore: The Women’s National Selection Committee today announced the 15-member Pakistan squad for the upcoming ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025.

The prestigious tournament, featuring 16 teams, will be held in Malaysia from 18 January to 2 February 2025.

Wicket-keeper batsman Komal Khan has been named as the captain of the Pakistan U19 women’s team, while Zoofishan Ayyaz has been appointed as the vice-captain.

After recently competing in the six-team ACC U19 Women’s Asia Cup in Malaysia, the team will begin a training camp at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Center in Karachi from December 30 to January 9, 2025.

After the camp, they will travel to Malaysia on January 10 with a stopover in Dubai.

The ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup will feature four groups, each consisting of four teams.

Pakistan are placed in Group B along with England, Ireland and USA.

After the group stage, the top three teams from each group will qualify for the Super Six stage.

The Super Six will see teams carry forward their points, wins and Net Run Rate (NRR) from their group matches.

The top two teams from each Super Six group will advance to the semi-finals on 31 January.

The final will be played on 2 February 2025 at the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur.
