Playboi Carti fans created a website for his unreleased albums

Many Playboy Carti fans have become increasingly frustrated with the constant delays to the release of his new album, and some have taken matters into their own hands. In an effort to track and document the many unfulfilled promises, they have launched a website dedicated to the rapper’s unreleased albums. Here’s everything fans need to know about the website.

The reason why Playboi Carti fans created a website

Playboi Carti’s fans are getting increasingly frustrated after waiting over four years for the rapper’s highly anticipated album titled Music. Tensions reached a boiling point on 25 December. It marked the four-year anniversary of his last album, Whole Lotta Red. Fans who have been eagerly awaiting new music ever since Carti first teased Music just a few months after the release of Whole Lotta Red have now launched a website. It tracks all the unfulfilled album promises and updates from the rapper since 2020.

The website details every delay and unfulfilled promise of Carti’s new album. It features an extensive list of unfulfilled releases, including the much talked about Whole Lotta Red deluxe edition and the unreleased single “Narcissist.” It even includes statements from Cartis DJ who claimed over a year ago that the album was already finished. Each post shows how many times Carti hinted at a new project, only to leave fans hanging with no official release date in sight.

Frustrated by the constant delays, Playboi Carti fans are planning a protest on social media. If Music doesn’t come out by the end of 2024, they intend to unfollow him en masse. One user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “who’s with me? no album = cancelled. Playboi Carti is canceled on the 27th, everyone unfollows him and refunds all CDs, vinyls and pre-orders. Maybe he’ll pay attention, if we make him break.” Although Carti has shared mysterious glimpses of his creative process, like recording in a cave and a glass house, the lack of a clear release date or updates has only made fans more impatient.
