DAVIESS CO., Ind. (WFIE) – An arrest has been made in a crash we told you about Thursday night.

It happened in Daviess County, Indiana.

Indiana State Police say a chase ended with I-69 being shut down at the Pike County line.

Now troopers say 24-year-old Brice Alkema of Indianapolis has been arrested.

Authorities say it started when they saw a speeder near the I-64 interchange.

Troopers say they tried to stop it, but Alkema kept driving all the way up to Daviess County.

Troopers say he tried to avoid stop sticks they had deployed and ended up crashing the semi.

Authorities say meth was found and they learned Alkema was under the influence of a controlled substance while in the hospital.
