Nebraska vs. Boston College in the Pinstripe Bowl

Watch quick footage from our Husker football writers ahead of Nebraska vs. Boston College in the Pinstripe Bowl.

Will Nebraska be fooled by Boston College’s running game

Boston College’s running game has similarities to what Michigan — and formerly Wisconsin — love to do: Get into a variety of formations, engage pre-snap shifts and motions, and try to misplace the defender’s eyes when the ball is snapped.

While NOW has some younger guys playing in the front seven, see if the Huskers get fooled a little bit by Boston College’s “eye candy” running game.

Nebraska will have a few more snaps to spread around on offense and a lot more on defense, especially among the front seven.

Watch for tricks that change momentum

If you have a month to prepare for a game, you’ll definitely have some nice games up your sleeve. Remember the tackle-qualified pass (that was called back for a penalty) in the 2014 Holiday Bowl?

Both NU and Boston College will try something on offense – and maybe also on special teams. Remember: trick plays are designed to score touchdowns or deliver massive chunk plays.
