‘Cobra Kai’ Series Finale Gets Premiere Date and First Look Images

“This may be the end, but Cobra Kai never dies!”

Maybe not, but Cobra Kai series is finally coming to an end – and today Netflix announced that the final five episodes of their hit karate comedy will be released on Thursday, February 13. The streamer also released a teaser and seven new first-look images that give fans a glimpse of how the epic tale of two dojos – Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do – will conclude.

In addition to the tantalizing shot of Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) practicing the crown kick pose together (above), the new photos suggest that the Sekai Taikai competition — which ended abruptly in Season 6, Episode 10 after Kwon (Brandon H. Lee) accidentally impaled himself on a knife – will continue in some form.

The Miyagi-Do team – including Robby (Tanner Buchanan) and Sam LaRusso (Mary Mouser) – and Iron Wolf competitors Axel (Patrick Luwis) and Zara (Rayna Vallandingham) are all suited up in their gis and ready for battle. Former Miyagi-Do student turned Cobra Kai teammate Tory Nichols (Peyton List) also features in the new photos.

Weekly entertainment last month. Schlossberg, meanwhile, compared the last batch of episodes to The Empire strikes backand said, “We knew that the middle block of these three parts…was going to end in this dark, ‘What the hell is going to happen next?’ place,” he said. “The last five will end in dissolution.
