Stephon Castle is climbing to the top of the latest NBA Rookie ladder

The 2024 NBA Draft Class didn’t exactly light up the preseason hype meter, with many labeling it one of the weakest in recent memory. But amid the doubts, a few rookies have emerged as undeniable assets to their teams.
One of the standout players is Stephon Castle, who has quickly become a key contributor for the San Antonio Spurs. Whether starting or coming off the bench, Castle proves to be a dynamic force that provides both scoring and defense when his team needs it most.
According to the latest NBA Rookie Ladder, Castle is holding strong at the top, maintaining his spot ahead of promising talents like Yves Missi of the New Orleans Pelicans, Jaylen Wells of the Memphis Grizzlies, Alex Sarr of the Washington Wizards and Zach Edey, also of the Grizzlies.
With the second-best odds to win Rookie of the Year, as reported by Fox Sports, Castle’s chances are on the rise, though his playing time, especially with Devin Vassell’s return to health, could be a deciding factor in his bid for the coveted award.
