High Wind Warning issued for South Central Oregon Coast and Curry County Coast until early Thursday morning

Wednesday at At 4:21 a.m., the National Weather Service issued a high wind warning valid from 13.00 to Thursday at 4 a.m. for the South Central Oregon Coast and Curry County Coast.

The weather service says, “South winds 40 to 55 mph with gusts up to 70 mph are expected.”

“Destructive winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles,” the weather service explained. “Monitor the latest forecasts for updates and possible warnings.”
