Grinch arrested in Baker County for trying to steal Christmas, according to deputies

The Grinch tried and failed to steal Christmas in Baker County Monday night.

The Baker County Sheriff’s Office arrested the infamous green man for “an attempted burglary targeting the Macclenny Christmas celebration.”

Deputies said witnesses saw the Grinch running away with bags of stolen gifts, decorations and even an entire roast beef.

“We’ve been monitoring the Grinch’s activities for years, and tonight he finally crossed the line. Rest assured that Christmas is safe again, thanks to the Bravo shift,” said Sheriff Scotty Rhoden.

According to the sheriff’s office, the felon’s heart grew three sizes while in custody. He apologized and returned each gift.

Now officials are debating whether the Grinch should get a reduced sentence or community service because of his literal change of heart.
