Teal Nation rallies as CCU and UTSA prepare for Myrtle Beach Bowl showdown

The party for Monday’s Myrtle Beach Bowl is already underway.

The Broadway at the Beach hangout held a pregame rally Sunday to get ready for it.

The University of Texas at San Antonio will take on Coastal Carolina University right in their own backyard.

The football game starts at 11 a.m. Monday at Brooks Stadium in Conway.

The pep rally type event offered an epic day of fun for fans of both teams.

The Roadrunners held their pep rally at the hangout at 14.45 followed by the songs at 4 p.m

There was a DJ, cheerleaders, games, dancing, bands, food and confetti drops.

Jimmy Williams has been a CCU fan for over 20 years.

He was one of many fans who came out today to show their support for Teal Nation.

“I’m a season ticket holder, so I’m there every game to root for these guys. And I know it hasn’t been easy all year, but you know, at the end of the day, when it comes down to being the champion, there’s no doubt about it: Teal Nation is going to rise up and we’re going to bring this thing home,” said Jimmy Williams, a coastal football fan.

Monday’s bowl game will be televised on both ESPN and ESPN Deportes.
