Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold has a message for doubters after the Week 15 loss

The Detroit Lions will look to get back into the win column in Week 16 as the team travels to Soldier Field to take on the Chicago Bears on Sunday. Detroit suffered a frustrating 48-42 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 15 as the Lions failed to contain the Bills’ high-powered offense and didn’t do enough on offense early in the game to keep pace with Buffalo.

Although Detroit’s loss to the Bills last week ended the team’s 11-game winning streak and dented their lead in the NFC North, Dan Campbell’s squad still has a terrific 2024 campaign with a 12-2 record and the No. 1 in the seed. NFC through 15 weeks.

Despite winning 11 of their last 12 games, there has been some panic in Detroit due to the absurd amount of injuries. The Lions currently have 21 players on injured reserve, and 31.8% of the team’s Week 1 starters are either on IR or out, which is tied with the Las Vegas Raiders for the highest percentage in the NFL.

Although Detroit’s Week 15 loss to Buffalo and the unfortunate injuries have clouded the Lions’ impressive play this season, rookie cornerback Terrion Arnold had to remind fans just how good the franchise has been in 2024.

Arnold posted a video on his TikTok page on Friday with the caption, “When you lose a game and everyone forgets who you are,” referring to the Lions’ Week 15 loss and the concerns surrounding the team. The 2024 first-round pick seems annoyed that the doubters are writing Detroit off after a narrow loss last week.

Although the Lions have been hit by the injury bug and fell flat in the biggest game of the year against the Bills in Week 15, there should be little concern heading into the final three games of the regular season. Dan Campbell has built a culture centered around grit and persistence in Detroit, and the Lions are still in a great position to win the NFC North and capture the No. 1 seed in the conference.

As for Arnold, the rookie from Alabama will be pushed into the CB1 position for the foreseeable future as Carlton Davis suffered a jaw injury last week and may not return to the lineup this season, by Dan Campbell. Arnold has tallied eight passes defensed and one 61.3% completion rate when targeted in 544 cover photos this year.
