Bears get on the board but lose Braxton Jones to a nasty injury

For the first time in a month, the Bears have scored in the first half of a game. But it came on an expensive drive.

The Bears got a touchdown pass from Caleb Williams to Cole Kmet that cut the Lions’ lead to 20-7.

Unfortunately, it came on a drive where the Bears lost offensive lineman Braxton Jones to a nasty ankle injury. Jones’ lower leg was placed in an air throw before he was carted off the field. The entire Bears’ sideline surrounded him as he was carted off, and Jones gave a thumbs-up sign as he was led to the locker room.

The last time the Bears scored in the first half was in Week 12. They will need to score at least two more touchdowns and get a much better effort from their defense to complete a comeback against the Lions.
