Tiger Woods’ daughter Sam returns as caddy as he and son Charlie play together in 2024 PNC Championship

Tiger Woods was back on golf course with both his children this weekend, as he and his son Charlie attended the 2024 PNC Championship – while his daughter Sam again took on caddy duties.

On Saturday, December 21, the 48-year-old golf great hit the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, where for the second year in a row he was joined by his 17-year-old daughter, who made her caddy debut with her father just a year before.

Tiger, Sam and Charlie, 15, could be seen in pictures and videos wearing sporty attire – with Sam lugging his dad’s clubs – smiling at each other as they prepared for a fun day of golf as a family.

As for the father-son duo, they have teamed up for the PNC Championship for several years, with the Florida golf tournament seeing professional golfers pair up with family members for a 36-hole outing.

Tiger has previously told reporters that he is always “excited” to just play a round of golf with his son, although they keep it “competitive” by using Charlie’s par to count their scores more evenly.

“Charlie clearly loves the time he spends with his dad on the golf course,” a source close to Woods said told PEOPLE in 2020. “It’s a definite bonding activity for the two of them.”

The tournament continues until and including Sunday 22 December, with the final round starting at 9.30.

Tiger shares his two children with his ex-wife Elin Nordegrenwhom he married in 2004 and later divorced in 2010. Charlie was born in 2009 while Sam was born in 2007.

“I just love being with them and seeing what they’re doing, what they’re capable of — the joys, the shifts in interests. It’s just fun. We have a great time together,” Tiger said of his two remaining children. in 2011.

In recent years, Charlie has followed in his father’s famous footsteps as he begins to do so distinguish his own name as a professional golfer. The teenager made headlines in April when he tried to qualify for the US Open. Charlie fell short of that mark, but later qualified for his first USGA tournament in June, shooting -1 under on the 71-par course.

Charlie told reporters after qualifying for the tournament that he intends to win the USGA Championships, but also made it clear that his goal is also “hopefully one day to (win) the US Open.”

A month later, Charlie struggled while trying to qualify for the US Junior Amateur, missing the cut by 18 strokes. His father is the only golfer to win the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship three times, winning back-to-back titles when he was 15, 16 and 17 years old, according to USA today.

In the past, Tiger has said he will be “proud” of Charlie no matter what career path he chooses, though he made no secret of his excitement about sharing the court with his son when they first played in the 2020 PNC Championship tournament.

“I don’t think words can describe it” Tiger said then. “Just the fact that we were able to have this experience together, Charlie and I, it’s memories for a lifetime.”
