Florida basketball returns home on a statement and will look to maintain its undefeated start to the season when it hosts North Florida.

No. 6 Florida Gators (11-0) rallied from down four points in the final four minutes to beat North Carolina 90-84 at the Jumpman Invitational in Charlotte, NC, on Tuesday. Senior guard Will Richard scored 22 points as Florida salvaged the win after blowing a 17-point lead in the first half.

“The thing I’m most proud of our group, four minutes left in the game, down four in our huddle, I didn’t see any disappointment,” Florida basketball coach Todd Golden said. “I didn’t see any finger-pointing. I saw guys that were poised and ready to attack for the last four minutes — just defend, come back and take care of the ball.”

North Florida (7-5), under 15th-year head coach Matthew Driscoll, is coming off a 95-81 loss to UNC Asheville on Tuesday.

Florida is 10-0 all-time against UNF. In the last meeting between the two schools Gators beat the Ospreys 85-55 on December 8, 2021.
